Worship

ONE LANGUAGE, MANY DIALECTS

God-centered worship through song happens in a variety of different musical styles. If expressed in terms of language, our varying styles of music, liturgy, and the spoken word during a worship time all culminate in a "common tongue" that the church speaks to the Lord.

Just as in the English language, worship has many different accents or dialects. The New Yorker and the South African are able to communicate even though the words sound dissimilar. The heart of the God-centered worshipper knows, through the Holy Spirit, what is being said even if what is coming from the platform might not sound like it does in the neighborhood they are from. Our aim is to speak worship with clarity and with quality so that all can respond to God for who He is and what He has done.

Your Role

Everybody worships!

Grass Roots Service - 5:00 p.m.

This is a dressed down, casual southern gospel service. We meet in the sanctuary where you will be greeted by warm, friendly faces. We have a Sunday evening choir that meets at 4:30pm in the sanctuary to rehearse the hymns that will be sung. Here at our Grass Roots service you will experience lively worship set to some of your favorite old hymns and southern gospel tunes. Pastor Bryan then delivers a challenging, inspiring message from the Word of God to motivate and encourage you in your walk with Christ.

Celebration Worship - 10:30 a.m.

Our Celebration Worship service is planned for those who prefer a contemporary blended with traditional. We meet in the sanctuary where you will be welcomed by greeters at the door who will give you a bulletin. Our choir then comes out and we begin our worship with a time of fellowship where our church family is given an opportunity to greet one another and welcome visitors. Our choir leads in songs of traditional worship from our hymnal, along with modern contemporary pieces. Pastor Bryan then delivers a dynamic message from the Word of God with the purpose to touch hearts, challenge one to grow spiritually, and transform your life.

Whichever style of worship you prefer,
you can find it here at New Hope!
